Swerige Sweden! Here we come!!!
After over two years' worth of planning and preperation, we are about to make our way to the 22nd World Scout Jamboree in Sweden! We'll be joining scouts from over 150 countries in what will be the best Jamboree ever!
Although we won't be able to update this website whilst out at the Jamboree, we are hoping to be able to keep you up to date via the West Mercia Scout section BLOG. Click here to access the Blog.
If you're able to, come and say goodbye to the Unit as we embark on our journey to Sweden! We're meeting at the Holiday Inn near J7 of the M6 (of Chapel Lane, Walsall) at 6am on Monday 25th July. We will be leaving the hotel at approximately 7:00am. Te, coffee and croisants will be provided. We are also hoping that the press will be coming along to help wave us off!
During the event the official website of the Jamboree will have live webcam footage, videos and photos updated around the clock. You can also listen to the Jambore radio station via your browser. Go to http://www.worldscoutjamboree.se/ to access the site.
We'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for the support over the past two years. We could not have done it without you, and we are really looking forward to sharing our experiences with you upon our return.
